Garage Clearance in Bridgend

Garages fill up slowly and then all at once: the furniture that did not fit in the new house, the boxes from the loft, a lawnmower that stopped working years ago. By the time you decide to deal with it, it is a day's work and several trips you do not have a vehicle for.

We clear single, double, integral and detached garages, and the prefabricated garage blocks found on many Bridgend estates. Everything goes in one visit, and we sweep out before we leave.

An empty garage after clearance

What We Clear From Garages

Tools and DIY gear

Old tools, workbenches, half-used tins and the shelving they sit on.

Bikes and sports equipment

Bikes, golf clubs, camping gear and exercise machines.

Furniture and appliances

Stored sofas, wardrobes, old fridges and chest freezers.

Boxes and storage

Moving boxes, toys, paperwork and decorations.

Garden gear

Mowers, strimmers, hoses, pots and garden furniture.

Scrap

Metal shelving, radiators and car parts go to scrap and recycling.

Preparing for a Garage Conversion

A garage conversion needs an empty shell before the builders arrive. We can clear it to the walls, including fixed shelving and workbenches if you want them gone, so the conversion can start on time.

Tyres, Oil and Batteries

Some of what lives in a garage is controlled waste: tyres, engine oil, car batteries, gas bottles and old paint. These cannot go in a general load. Tell us what is there and we will advise how it can be disposed of safely and legally.

Frequently Asked Garage Clearance Questions

How long does a garage clearance take?

It depends on how full it is and how easy it is to reach. Most garages are cleared in a single visit — send a photo and we will tell you how long to allow.

Can you take tyres, oil and car batteries?

These are controlled waste with their own disposal rules. Let us know what is there when you enquire and we will tell you what we can take and what needs a specialist.

What if the garage roof is asbestos?

Many older prefabricated garages have asbestos cement roofs. We clear the contents but do not remove asbestos sheeting — that needs a licensed contractor. If you are not sure what the roof is made of, mention it and we will take a look.

Will you sort out anything worth keeping?

Yes. Tell us what to look out for and we will set it aside. Tools and bikes in decent condition often go for reuse rather than scrap.
