Waste Clearance Bridgend

Most rubbish jobs are not big enough for a skip and too big for the car: a dozen bags, a broken chair, a pile of cardboard and a few things nobody wants. That is exactly what a van clearance is for. You do not need a permit, you do not need space on the drive, and you do not have to lift anything — we carry it out from wherever it is.

For single large items, see bulky waste collection; for a whole property, house clearance.

What We Take

Household rubbish

Bags, boxes, packaging and the general clutter from a clear-out.

Furniture and fittings

Broken chairs, tables, shelving and flat-pack that has seen better days.

DIY and renovation waste

Old carpet, offcuts, small amounts of rubble and plasterboard — tell us first.

Electricals

TVs, microwaves, lamps and small appliances, recycled under the WEEE rules.

Garden rubbish

Bagged green waste, pots and garden junk — or see garden clearance.

Odds and ends

Toys, bikes, suitcases and everything else that has nowhere to go.

Why Not Just Use the Tip?

Bridgend has three community recycling centres — Brynmenyn, Pyle and Maesteg. Brynmenyn does not accept vans or trailers at all, and Pyle and Maesteg only take vans and pick-ups registered in advance for a free tipping permit. Trade waste is not accepted.

If you have a car and a few bags, the tip is the cheapest option. Once it is more than a car load, or you do not have a van permit, a collection usually works out easier — and we do the lifting.

Frequently Asked Rubbish Removal Questions

How is rubbish removal priced?

By how much of the van it fills, plus access. A few bags and a chair from the front garden is a small load; a full house of mixed rubbish carried down stairs is a full van or more. Send a photo and we will give you a fixed price before we come.

Do I have to bag everything up first?

No. Bagging loose rubbish helps and can bring the price down, but we load whatever is there — loose, bagged or boxed.

Can you take builders' waste?

We take small amounts of rubble, plasterboard and DIY waste alongside a general load. Tell us what it is when you enquire, because heavy waste fills the van by weight rather than volume.

What happens to the rubbish?

We sort it as we load: metal, wood, cardboard and electricals go for recycling, usable furniture is passed on where possible, and only what is left goes for disposal. We are licensed upper-tier waste carriers, so you receive a waste transfer note with your receipt. That is your proof the waste was disposed of legally — it will not be fly-tipped, and you will not be fined for illegal dumping.
