Mattress Collection in Bridgend

A new mattress is often delivered without anyone taking the old one away, and the old one ends up in the spare room or the hall. We collect mattresses and bases of every size, from any floor, on a day that suits you.

Mattresses are one of the hardest household items to recycle, but most of a mattress can be reused: steel springs, foam and fabric are separated so that as little as possible goes to landfill.

Frequently Asked Mattress Questions

Can you take a mattress that is stained or damp?

Yes. Mattresses that cannot be reused are taken apart for recycling where possible — the springs, foam and fabric are separated.

Can you collect from upstairs?

Yes. We carry mattresses and bases down from any floor; tell us if the stairs are narrow or turning.

Will you dismantle the bed frame?

Yes. We take bed frames, divan bases and headboards apart if they will not come out in one piece.

Does the council collect mattresses?

Yes — a mattress counts as one item in the council's bulky collection, which is charged per booking for up to three items. You have to bring it out to the kerb yourself and wait for the next available date. We collect from the bedroom on a day that suits you.
