White Goods Collection in Bridgend
White goods are heavy, awkward and cannot go in a general skip or bin. Fridges and freezers in particular contain gases that have to be recovered by an authorised facility. We collect them from the kitchen, the garage or the utility room — you do not need to drag them to the kerb.
If a retailer is delivering the new one and will not take the old one away, book us for the same day and the swap is done.

WEEE Regulations and Responsible Disposal
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations require electrical items to be kept out of landfill and recycled through approved routes. As licensed waste carriers we take your appliances to the right place and give you a waste transfer note, so you know they will not be dumped.

Frequently Asked White Goods Questions
Do fridges and freezers need to be defrosted?
Ideally, yes — switch it off and leave the door open the day before so it does not leak in the van. If that is not possible, tell us.
Can you take a fridge from upstairs or a cellar?
Yes. Stairs and tight access add to the time, so mention where it is when you enquire.
What happens to old appliances?
They go to authorised treatment facilities under the WEEE Regulations. Fridges and freezers contain gases that must be recovered before the metal is recycled, which is why they cannot go in general waste.
Will the council collect white goods?
The council's bulky collection takes fridges, freezers, washing machines and cookers as part of a booking of up to three items, collected from outside the property. Appliances have to be disconnected and brought out first. We disconnect nothing that is plumbed or wired in, but once it is free we carry it out from the kitchen or utility room on a day that suits you.
